[The moment Nico says "once" Hiro's all ears, sitting up a little taller and leaning forward across the table to make sure he absorbs everything.
It still hasn't really clicked to him why Nico can say the same thing as someone else and he absorbs it better. (Truthfully, probably because he's not an authority figure in Hiro's life. (Double-truthfully, probably because Nico has figured out how Hiro ticks.))
The story doesn't really surprise him that much though there's a slightly sympathetic look as Nico mentions Bianca. He heard a little part of this story, just the part that Nico had wanted to bring Bianca back and the soul exchange but everything else is new.
Is he surprised that Nico's capable of holding grudges like that? Absolutely not. Is he surprised Nico's telling him this? Maybe a little.
There's a heavy sigh and he slumps further into the palm holding his chin up, frowning further as he debates. Forgiveness…? He still has problems with that. He was sympathetic toward Callaghan, for instance, but even a year later and he's not sure he'd use the word "forgiveness" in relation to the man who was responsible for everything that happened back ohm. With Jason though…he wanted to fix things. He had to. But apologizing first would be hard, especially this time.]
…Jason kinda saved my life like the first week we were here. Did I tell you that part? That he picked me up from the battlefield when the Seelie army was invading and basically carried me back to the castle because I was too stubborn to leave myself? He keeps doing that. He keeps swooping in to save me from doing stupid stuff. I can see why he's frustrated.
[Not everybody has Tadashi's insane amount of patience, after all. there's a slight grin though.]
And wasn't Hera the one who held her own grudges against Zeus because he kept sleeping with other people? [But he gets what Nico's trying to say. He scrubs a hand down his face, huffing out a breath of air and blowing his bangs upward.]
…fine. Fine, I get it. I have to apologize myself and stop expecting him to just deal with it. [Not everybody has the nerds' patience, either.] But he sort of just took off on his horse and unless you've got a pair of super-speed sneakers in your bag? I can't catch up with him.
