He's grown used to fire magic since coming to the Drabwurld but after the onslaught of nightmares and being isolated with his own thoughts? He's still trying to dig himself back out. He's not drawing attention to the reaction though and instead draws in a deep breath.
Once Jason starts walking he strongly debates going the opposite way…but he knows that even though he's fast, Jason's faster. Instead he bows his head and begins to follow. But he can play that game, too. He's not going to say anything to give Jason the upper-hand. Not on purpose anyway. It's silent for a bit of time as he follows Jason through the area, eventually zipping up his sweater and drawing it closer around himself before he attempts to test the waters.]
