He'd figured out by now that they needed something big if they were going to combat the Roc's magic and return the Drabwurld to something normal and though his fire magic was doing well to try and unfreeze people he knew, animals, and other natives and creatures it wasn't enough. It was about that point that Hiro started reaching out to other people for ideas and one of those people was Howard Stark.
Hiro wouldn't openly admit it just yet, but he was far too curious about how Howard's mind worked and also about what kind of ideas the older man could create. When Howard told him he had something of a plan but could use Hiro's help, he didn't hesitate to reappear at the Station and seek him out. It took a little longer than he intended due to stopping now and then to assist someone with just a little bit of a melting boost but eventually he found Howard and appeared in front of him, eyebrow arched expectantly.]
