You don't get it, not entirely. [That's not a direct answer to his question, but at the same time, it is. Jason's been measuring it in his head. What does he have to tell Hiro? What does he have to spell out? As it turns out, as much as he wants to cut corner and go with his own brand of vague anecdotes, none of them will cut it. He needs Hiro to know the truth.

Without the truth, without the big picture, he won't understand.

The mention of Loki saying that Hiro could do anything he wanted (essentially) is a point of frustration. They'll have to talk later. Of course, the ease with which that'll happen is almost nonexistent, much to his frustration. How will they find Loki now? The damn lockets don't even work anymore.]

First: you can't listen to what a god says, or twist what he says to your purposes. I already told you that that's unreasonable. Don't just pick and choose. How he survives won't be how we survive. [He needs that to be clear. He already said it, and for some reason, Hiro just dismissed what he had to say.

Will he do it again? Only time will tell.]

Secondly, my story doesn't begin with my death. A whole lot happened before that. But before I waste my breath telling you about it, I need to know you're going to listen.

Are you?
