[Its probably better that Jason is as hard on him as he is lest Hiro not actually learn anything. The entire time Jason talks though Hiro, for once, keeps his mouth shut.
The sad thing is that the story doesn't even surprise him in the slightest. Does it worry him? Sure, maybe a little. Is he going to tell Jason that? Absolutely not. It doesn't take long for the message to sink in though. Jason was smart in literally every single way Hiro wasn't, and he was more likely to survive here than Hiro himself because of it. Maybe he should be more grateful that Aunt Cass took the brothers in. Maybe he should be grateful Tadashi saved his skin literally all the time.
That gesture only causes him to look at his feet again, shoulders hunching in shame even as he listens. He doesn't address any of that. Not yet.]
Tadashi usually knew exactly what to do, yeah. We didn't grow up on the streets or anything and he wasn't a bot fighter but he always knew where I was.
