[This reminds her of when she first stopped just throwing fire everywhere and started to learn what else fire could do. That it meant heat, that it meant life and death in turn. Concentration is one thing she won't mock no matter how long it takes him, because it means so much to learn. If he can't learn concentration, then they have a real problem.

But he does it, mostly. Sure, there's sparks. But she can tell he's on the right track and she lets out a breath she didn't even know she was holding.]


Concentration can control the fire more than power ever can. This is one part I've been looking forward to for your progress. When you learn control, real control, fire will always bend to your will completely. Like this, you're learning how to make the fire obey and give only the heat. But as you can feel, it's a lot harder than just making fire.
