[Hiro had only beat Tadashi home by a few minutes and he's already changed into what passes as pajamas (so really, a t-shirt and pajama bottoms) but he's busy putting away Baymax's armor now that the robot's stored in his charger for the night. In the dark. Yes this makes total sense.

He hears Tadashi though and sticks his head out of the bedroom, a little relieved that he's come back before he gets up off of the floor.]

ViViD got to you too, huh?

[ he just sighs as he takes a seat on his couchbed. ]

Worst kind of date ever. You wouldn't believe who's here, though-- [ no. hiro probably already knows considering he has his app, too. ]

Like you know anything about dates. [It's a subtle jab as he moves to settle on the arm of the couch, feet digging into the blankets (sorry bro.) Judging by the look on his face he sure does know who he means.]

You saw her? That was part of the reason I went into the game.

[ HIRO, YOU ARE THE RUDEST PUNK-- ] Like you would know anything about good dates.

[ ha. take that. ]

Honey Lemon? Yeah. [ and unexpectedly, they kind of ended up on a weird kind of date. or, well, what people do in dates, anyway. hugging, walking, holding hands, the stuff. he's never done that with honey lemon before, save for the hugging, and it was nice to see her again, but lol, date... ]

So, she's back.

[He's just taking a sock-clad foot and pushing at Tadashi's arm. TAKE THAT!!

But right, Honey Lemon. He's cupping his chin in his hand to think that over. He doesn't know what Honey talked to Tadashi about or even that they saw each other prior to Tadashi telling him, but he knows what they did. Fighting monsters. Nerd jokes. Just treating everything as normal as possible.]

Seems like it. Or at least they're trying to bring her online again to bring her back. What do you think that really means?

[ UGH nasty. tadashi has to cover his nose and flap a hand at hiro's direction as if saying his foot is smelly. (hopefully not, though.) ]

Wish I could tell you, bro. [ he looks away and entwines his fingers with his other hand's. then he looks away, at the ground where mochi is. that's the last thing on his mind right now. he's more... concerned with how honey reacted, truth be told. ]

She cried when she saw me, you know. She was so happy— I. [ it's so weird. ] I didn't think she would be.

[How rude his feet aren't smelly. But he's staring at the top of Tadashi's head knowing where this is going, sort of. Mochi's busy nudging his pudgy head against Tadashi's ankle, but Hiro's not too interested in what the cat's doing.]

...why wouldn't she be happy to see you again? [It's a very quiet question, but he's absolutely concerned with what Tadashi's thinking now. That sort of reaction doesn't really surprise him too much, but he won't elaborate just yet.]

Because wouldn't she be shocked? [ shocked and in disbelief, just like how hiro was when the two of them got reunited. just like how wasabi reacted when the two of them met in vivid for a short period of time. ]

I don't know. [ he shrugs his shoulders and then just surrenders himself to the couch, slumping and sinking further into it. ] I'm thinking too much, aren't I?

She probably was shocked to see you, but you know how Honey Lemon is. She's just…better at recovering than most people we know. [Much, much better than Hiro who'd yelled that Tadashi wasn't real, at least.]

Maybe you're thinking too much but it's not like it doesn't make sense. [It's a lot to process, he thinks. He's still not entirely sure how to feel about the whole thing either.] What else did she say to you?

[ a hand moves to rub the back of his neck, and he looks away again. he doesn't feel stressed talking about this, but it does make him think of his death, which was why the motion happened. ]

We actually didn't talk much. Just. . . spent time with each other. I told her about Cerealia, though, and she told me about your group. [ the big hero 6, obviously. ] And she asked about the professor.

[It's the mention of Callaghan that causes Hiro to draw in a sharp breath. It's still a very heavy and uncomfortable subject for the two of them, and it's for that reason he doesn't say anything. He keeps his eyes on Tadashi and shrinks back into the couch, though he motions with a hand for Tadashi to continue. "Why did she ask about Callaghan? What did she tell you about us?"]

There wasn't much talk, [ he shrugs, having to say it again. ] I told her I now know about the professor, and about you guys.

Just- that.

[ he's been trying to put behind the memory of hiro and tadashi in that hall of mirrors, mostly because it was such a painful thing for him. his mentor, his hero — practically somebody whom he wanted to be's image shattered in seconds.

not to mention, he almost hurt his brother. inside his head, he's shaking it at himself for even thinking of something so stupid.

tadashi hamada, you need to reevaluate your life. ]

[They both need to reevaluate their lives to be honest, seeing how Hiro's been stressing himself out about ruining Tadashi's thanks to those stupid mirrors. He knew he had to tell Tadashi the truth one day, but did it have to be like that? He bites on his lip, staring at his brother for a moment before he sighs slowly.]

That. I'm not going to tell her about that, but...you gotta know that Honey was the one who stopped me from making the first big mistake. Baymax was the one who stopped me from trying again. And...I'm sorry. For everything.

[But let's focus on Honey instead.] She was in the Nexus this whole time. It's pretty weird that we came back almost right away but it took her a couple of months.

[He'd grown a little too cocky. He wasn't paying attention and with that the puck slides right into the goal just past him.]

Hey! [He looks down, looking up again at her in disbelief before shaking his head and retrieving the puck.] Guess I know better than to go easy on you then. [And he sets the puck. It'll be a fun game at least no matter who wins. All that really matters to him is that he gets to spend time with Rei. That's good enough.]

That's how things are for me and Ruby too. We're a lot a like and it's just a lot easier to know we don't have to deal with everybody else when we're together. [Expectations. Leader responsibilities. All of the things that come from being teenage prodigy-protags.]

I think we're still figuring stuff out but I want to make sure she's happy. And she's one of those people who likes making friends so...[He sort of flails his hands. Alone-time might be something Ruby wants or doesn't want, he's unsure.] I think the good thing is that no matter what happens they're going to remember us when they come back. [Even if it's not right away, but he won't say that.]

[And there's a loud yelp from Hiro as soon as red eyes pop up in his vision and he rolls out of the way, flailing to stand up in the fog and efficiently cutting off his vision again. He stops, listening for the movements of air and dodging out of the way, making his way toward what he hopes is a wall.]

How's he even causing the fog anyway?

[Does he love it? That's actually a good question. He loves dealing with kids, that's for sure. Teenagers are complicated and he never knows how he feels about them... but he does know he cares about Hiro, and that's enough.

The latching is noticed, and Jack is so glad he started this. Have a squeeze!]

[ yeah, let's... put that aside, shelve it a g a i n. never talk about it. issues? what issues?

And we still don't know where Fred and Go Go are. Or Aunt Cass. [He frowns, pulling at his lower lip with his teeth.] Honey didn't say she remembered being here, did she?

His name's Yu Narukami. You might have seen him around, he's been here for a while. He came in the month after I did. He can take care of himself but...you know. [He worries about him anyway especially with a death sentence on his head now.]

I'll bring Tadashi if Tadashi wants to go. It's entirely his choice but...we'll see what he says.

[Thanks Jack. You're a true bro. He snorts under his breath at that though, and it's unclear if it's at what Jack says or the new nickname.]

Then they're not really something I'm too interested in studying right now. That's Baymax's job. Think that's a bad idea?

Oh! I think I met him once. His name sounds familiar, at the very least. But... I understand what you mean. I don't think there's any harm in being concerned for someone even if they're fully capable of defending themselves.

I can't imagine he would feel comfortable with staying behind while you go off exploring.

You might have heard of him from me or Tadashi before, too. He's the one who lead an expedition back into the jungle after we were all transported there the first time. He's a pretty good leader. [And someone Hiro admires.] ...between you and me, I'm concerned about a lot of people around here.

[But he knows it's logical to be concerned. It's the only reason he's not worried about telling Adelina.] He probably wouldn't be, you're right. [There's a short grin.] I haven't exactly told him I'm thinking about heading back. Things...didn't exactly go that well when we were out there together.

No signs of her remembering anything from here.

So that's three out of three. I don't get it. Nobody seems to be able to figure out why some people remember and some don't. Mosley never really hinted at it when you asked him about us before right? [A beat.] Besides calling us footnotes.
