[That snort of amusement was definitely Ruby's imagination. He's busy flipping on lights and powering on some things in the workshop, completely at ease and more than comfortable. Labs and workshops are like a second home to him, moreso when they belong to someone he care about a lot. He's careful not to disturb anything and he's almost impressed that the robots managed to put everything back exactly as it was. He's flinging his backpack up onto a workbench then, also grabbing a stepstool so he can step up and hover over it.]

What can I say? I've been a little distracted with stuff. Besides, I build cooler stuff at school. [None of that's really a lie. Baymax has always been with him though. Maybe he took advantage of that. Even as he answers her he's rooting through his bag.]
