[Once she's down he lets go of her hand and makes sure she's steady before gesturing for her and Baymax to follow him.] Just...don't tell Ruby I'm trying too hard, okay? That might be a little embarrassing to deal with. [At least he's honest.]
Thanks. [Just for that, Mary, you're getting cotton candy. They're walking along and he's grateful for that, but he can't help but ask:] So...what do you think of her anyway? Now that you've gotten to know her a little more and we aren't fighting giant birds?
[...there's a snort.] Really real, huh? Okay. [He can tease her about that, even if he has a pretty silly grin on his face. Good. Good. He likes the idea that his girlfriend and one of his best friends are getting along. It pleases him way more than it should. However, as they approach the food stand he can't help but lift an eyebrow.]
Yeah! Flynn is one of my friends, and he had a big fight with someone important to him, who also helped me once. And he was staying at Ruby's house, so I brought Flynn over there so we could help them get together again.
...why are relationships with people so hard? [He drags a hand down his face again.] And I still don't really get how you two got involved in the first place.
...I've gotten into fights with Tadashi before where I thought about not coming home. It's totally possible, especially when it's someone you care about so much you're not really sure how to fix it. And trying to fix things when your feelings are hurt usually ends in a giant disaster anyway.
MARY;

I think she's really... real. Um, I mean, like she's someone you don't have to be careful around.
Oh! And she's really good to work together with!
[ Yeah, guess which tiny duo (both of whom are still taller than Hiro) teamed up to get Yuri and Flynn together again-- ]
