…kinda like what they're trying to tell us happened to our worlds, too? Because of the Flamines or whatever. [There's only a few ways the world can be destroyed and blowing it up sounds on point.] A complete reset. Why? What was the purpose of recreating the whole thing? ["And why you" goes unsaid, but he wants to know that, too.]
[Naoki's voice has quieted, tone flattening. Pixie stirs uneasily on his shoulder, folding her arms and glancing off to the side like she can't feel the negative emotions he's giving off.] So they decided to destroy it and recreate it in the way that they wanted it to be.
...That's the simple version of it, according to me. They'd have another way of describing it.
What a stupid reason. [He gets it's a sensitive subject though, especially as he watches Pixie shift. They fly in silence for a few moments as he processes that, dipping low and high in their search for friends.] Doesn't matter what reason they really had, that's not how things should be.
[Naoki tells himself that every day, fighting against everything everyone else has ever told him otherwise. He gazes down, getting himself to focus.] I have to go back to finish things.
...we're gonna get back. I have things to do back home, too. [A pause.] But I'm going to make sure we have ways to get back to the other things that matter, too.
Glad we agree on that. [It's sincere, really. He could use as much motivation as possible to figure this all out and save the worlds and keep the lines of travel open.] ...Ruby and I haven't really been dating for long. Not like you and Yang or anything, but I'm not really ready to say goodbye to her either. Or any of my friends.
[It looks as though their search is coming up empty, though.] I think they managed to avoid the stampede. I don't see them anywhere.
[Naoki reaches out toward him-- he's just gonna give him a pat on the shoulder, agreement and encouragement all in one. He thinks a lot about getting back to Yang after everything is settled in his world. Even though a part of him nags at him, doubts and fears that never will leave. Besides Yang, he doesn't want to lose Ruby either, not to be able to talk with Quatre again...]
Knowing them, they probably got out of the way or just... went right through it.
[Thank you, Naoki, no wonder Ruby kind of sees you as an older brother. He can't help but duck his head while being slightly embarrassed, but it does mean a lot. There are too many people here that could use the solution just as much as he can.]
You're probably right. Baymax? Take us down. [The robot faces forward and begins descending gently before landing on the far end of what was the parade route. He crouches down to allow the two boys a chance to dismount.] What're you gonna do next?
[Naoki slides off of Baymax, landing lightly on the ground. Pixie flutters after him, hovering over his shoulder with a dry comment of:] Knowing you, you're just going to look for things you can help with.
...Yeah, probably that. I'm gonna see if anyone needs help while I'm looking around.
We are going to proceed as well. [Thank you, helpful robot.] It is our job to protect and help.
And it's my job to make sure he doesn't wander too far off. [More like the other way around but whatever. He grins up at Pixie before looking back to Naoki.] Call us if things get bad again in other parts of the carnival, okay?
[Naoki pauses before he goes to just waltz right off into placing himself into well-intentioned danger to ask:] You gonna be all right? Want to take one of my demons along with you?

There's no way I'm not gonna get back to Yang after I've settled everything.

Wanna take us down somewhere for now, captain?
