[At first, it takes a moment for Hiro to realize why the video's upside down and who exactly is on the other end. He's not laughing at her exactly but there's a small chuckle under his breath as he stares into the CereVice's screen to watch.]

Hey! Yeah, yeah we're fine. ["We're." He doesn't think much about using that word but alas.] Things got really weird on the last level but once I hit the end of the maze I was out in no time. How about you? Any more hugging incidents?

Nope. [She looks extremely proud of this.] Avoided all the weird-looking nurses after that.

Wait--you said "we". Did you find someone you know?

[There's a bit of a pause because, well, whoops. That was reflex.] I--yeah. My older brother. He's been here for a while so he came and found me inside the game. We got separated right before I found you but he got out before I did.

[Aw, Mary. Hiro actually grins on his end of the line even if she can't see it and when he responds he's keeping his tone pretty light.]

Hey! I got out just fine after I found my way through the maze. It's good to hear that you did, too. [A pause.] Are you doing okay? Nothing bad happened after we got separated, did it?

Not... bad, exactly. Mostly. I ran from more nurses and I got squeezed a lot, and I hit someone with a cart...

[ SHE'S BEAUTY AND SHE'S GRACE. ]

How have you managed to survive here? [But at least the tone is light and teasing instead of incredulous like it probably should be.] Did you make it all the way to the last level, or did you log out before then?

I managed to get out before then... I've been lucky so far.

[He's thinking for a moment.] I wonder if we could make you something that would help detect danger before you can even get close enough to see it.

Why would it be? I've made bigger projects than that back home. And anyway what else do I have to do while I'm here?

[Other than try to snoop around CERES and worry about his brother and potentially save the world. All in a day's work.]

But I never said I forgave you, did I? [He did. He's mostly just being a little shit, and the talk about Tadashi definitely distracts him, too. There's a soft grin like he's a little unsure of what to say though.]

I think he was more worried than happy at first, but he seems to be okay with it.

Hey, at least there's someone around to show you the ropes. [Speaking of which--Korra pauses, making an "o" with her mouth as she remembers something.] Oh yeah, I wanted to ask you something. You have a bunch of technology stuff in your world, right? Do you know how to use this...thing?

[A pause.] You think it's worth making friends if we're not really supposed to be here?

I'm pretty sure I'll end up showing him a thing or two, too. [But Korra's question comes easily just as easily as an answer and he nods.] Yeah, definitely. I've been messing around with it for a few days to get an idea of what capabilities it has but it's not too complicated.

[There's a smirk though.] Wanna know a big secret about it though?

[While a part of her perks up at "secret", the other part is a little suspicious, especially now that she's getting a feel for Hiro's personality.]

I've been using this upside down the whole time, haven't I? [Korra quickly flips it right side up, torn between scowling and looking embarrassed. In the end she just goes with an embarrassed scowl, best of both worlds.] Why didn't you say something earlier??
