I know. [He can't see but he can hear how upset she sounds and he's doing his best to be reassuring.] But you trust me and Baymax don't you? It'll be okay no matter what.

... Okay. [ Yeah, she's not happy, but she can recognize something's got to be done about this. ]

Okay...Baymax, get in position. [The robot waddles out in front of the two of them, confirming he is "ready for action." Hiro lifts a hand and gestures in the vague direction of Baymax.] We're ready when you are.

[Hopefully she won't freeze him? Does the medusa gaze work on hyperspectral cameras? We just don't know. (Probably not though.)]

[ Mary... then, very slowly, peers at Baymax. Her eyes are a nice, blazing crimson instead of their usual pink, but she's counting on the fact that he's technically not a living being to keep him from getting petrified.

Which ought to work, at least. ]

[And then Baymax freezes and breaks down completely. Or he would if he wasn't a robot...instead, nothing happens and Baymax tilts his head, chirping out a quick diagnosis.]

Mary, it appears as though your eyes are: irritated. Would you like some eyedrops?

[...sorry his robot is embarrassing.] Baymax, can you scan her again and see if there's anything abnormal with her eyes? [...and because he can't help it:] Told you it'd be fine.

... You never know. [ SIGH. ] B-but I'm glad he didn't get affected.

They don't hurt though, Baymax!

[That does little to deter the robot seeing how Baymax is shuffling closer to offer her a bottle of eye drops that he's pulled from who even knows where. How does Baymax store things? It's a mystery. Hiro, on the other hand, seems mystified, while Baymax scans her again.]

…this is going to sound like a weird question but if you look in a mirror is it possible for you to petrify yourself?

[Baymax's diagnosis, as it turns out, reveals that Mary's perfectly healthy. Sadly he can't pick up fluctuations in her code.]

[Listen it was a very important question all things considered. But he grins as an idea strikes him.]

I think I know what we can do. I'll let you borrow the helmet from my armor for a while. The shield should protect people from being blasted by your eyes, and since it can't hurt you maybe it'll help until things go back to normal.

... Will that really be okay? You won't need it?

[ Look, this colony attacks sometimes. ]

If I can't see, I won't be any good to the colony to fight back anyway. And Baymax will take care of me. [He grins anyway despite the fact he may be putting himself in danger without a helmet.] I trust you to take good care of it. It'll be fine.

... Thanks, Hiro. I definitely won't drop it or dent it or anything!!

[ Be reassured, comrade?? ]

I know you won't, but don't worry. I've fallen plenty of times in it, it's pretty durable. [Not sure if that's a jab at Mary's clumsiness or an attempt at being reassuring...] And now that we've got that solved...you gonna hang out for a while? [Please?]

Yeah. I think as long as I won't freeze you... it's probably fine. [ And she's just plain tired. ]

Definitely...it's probably safer anyway. [So yeah. They can just be two small tired kids hanging out and being babysat by a walking marshmallow. Everything's fine this way.] I think CereFlix added a whole bunch of new movies anyway.
