[he realizes he hasn't spoken to hiro since well before the event effects started getting under his skin...

(and maybe he wants to talk about some of those things from mosley's post, too.)]

Absolutely. Where are you? Or do you just want to talk?

[Hiro, personally, kind of wants to see him but that's because Hiro kind of wants to be around people again. The last few days have been brutal.]

[coexistent]

I'm at my place right now. You can come over if you want, or we can meet up somewhere.

[roxas wants the company too—besides, they'd talked about a little keyblade show and tell, so maybe this would be a good way to get their minds off it all.]

We can always figure out where we wanna go when I get there? I'll be there in ten minutes.

[He's apparently not waiting for a response because he's disconnecting the call and grabbing Baymax's rolling suitcase, slipping into his sweater and heading for Roxas and Mary's apartment. As promised about ten minutes later Roxas will hear a knock on the door.]

[this works for him, honestly. he didn't really have a plan in mind—not that having an extra ten minutes to mull it over is really going to help. regardless, when he hears the knock at the door...

there's really not more than a few seconds before roxas swings it open and gives a totally casual:]

Hey.

[zerotohiro]

[You know, sometimes it's times like these that Hiro thinks about how different Roxas is from the first time they met. He meets that casual greeting with a grin and a tilt of his head.]

Hey. [On the other hand...Hiro's constantly thinking and today's no excuse.] I think we've both been a little MIA lately huh?

[he'll hold the door open to let hiro in, letting out kind of a weak laugh in response.]

Yeah. Though... it was kind of hard not to be. Things are just really weird these days.

[Into the apartment he goes with Baymax-case rolling behind him and he shakes his head in response.]

Things around here are always weird, but it's been even worse since Mosley was fired. I don't know if they're taking it out on us or what, but I don't like it.

I don't know why either, maybe they are... but I definitely don't like it.

[why do people in power always insist on making things stupidly hard and shitty? the real questions here, honestly.]

[Let's just flop on the couch here.] So the real question is...what are we gonna do about it? The last time we sat around and didn't fix it ourselves the whole colony went crazy. Any ideas?

I dunno... I'm just not even sure what we can do. Things have changed so much, do you think... we could even find out what's up with CERES at this point?

[zerotohiro]

...possibly. [There's a short pause.] I haven't really told anybody this, but Mosley and I kind of have this weird friendship, I guess? I...might have encouraged him to hand Bellona over to the Flamines and take over CERES himself.

[coexistent]

...You did?

[that's... honestly surprising to hear. not because he doesn't think hiro would do something like that. but mosley listening to him and how hiro classifies it? a surprise for sure.]

Yeah. He told me a while ago that I can talk to him on a private line, so when he spoke to all of us I asked to talk to him myself. He wanted to kill everyone but we talked and I said handing over Bellona would help more in the longrun. I know there are some others he talked to, but I hope he holds up his end of the bargain.

That means we should probably prepare for an alien invasion though. Ever experience one of those?

I guess... we'll see what happens with that.

[roxas isn't entirely sure he'd trust mosley to actually make good on his word, but if hiro has faith in it, he won't completely shrug it off.

alien invasions, though...]

Alien... no, not... exactly. [do the heartless count?] Except the Heartless, I guess.

The monsters that invade planets and eat everybody's hearts. That sounds about right for the Flamines. But the only way you guys could fight the Heartless was with the Keyblade, right? [Please help him understand how Kingdom Hearts works, bro.]

[coexistent]

Yeah, kind of. Other people can fight them off, but they'll just keep coming back somewhere else if you don't use a Keyblade.

[roxas barely understands how it works too, let's be real here.]

[There's a heavy sigh.] Wonder if that means it'll be like that with the Flamines too. I wouldn't mind them popping up on some different planet after we got rid of them, but there's no guarantee.

I think...I just want to make sure everybody's safe. And after I spoke with Mosley I don't know what the outcome's going to cause. [He shrugs.] Sorry. This wasn't supposed to be depressing.
