I-- [ What just happened, how did she get from HANGING BY A MOMENT from the doorknob to being held up by Hiro's hands on her shoulders? And he looks incredibly panicked, which isn't making her feel any less worried. ]
[Sorry, Mary, no time for pausing or being gentle! Hiro's a little too alarmed to hold still and he's positive the ghosts are coming for them. His grip loosens up though so he's not hurting her, giving her a once-over.]
All the windows and stuff are closed right? [He...might also be subtly starting to steer her back to bed. She definitely looks a lot worse than a few days ago and that's not good.]
[ Mary's been through some shit with these assholes before, she's not taking any chances. Never mind that she can't really do much when every step makes her head swim, but thankfully... her bed's not far. ]
...so you were around the first time the ghosts were out possessing people's bodies and stuff, too? [Ugh why does this stuff happen? Whatever, he's just practically dragging her back to her bed before she gets too dizzy to focus. At least it's close by and when they get to her room he's carefully depositing her on her mattress while he starts pacing around the room.]
You're a medusa though. How could they even make you blind?
My eyes aren't really powerful or anything... [ How little you know, Mary. She's tiredly slumping against the headboard, though. ] All I know is that it looked at me, and suddenly, I couldn't see anymore. And Zara couldn't hear, and Nesso's body ran off without him...
[ Ah, she misses her original housemates. Such wacky shenanigans. ]
[Just a look. Mary, please. You're a medusa and Hiro's going to be convinced they're powerful no matter what. But he's monitoring her closely to make sure she doesn't pass out, still pacing her room as he goes.]
A friend told me about the body possession stuff...were they messing with all five of the senses back then?
[Mary...it's okay, Hiro's just accepting that answer with a soft (and weirdly nervous) grin.]
We'll find a way to make sure it doesn't happen again. [A beat.] But I think they're more interested in killing us than messing with our senses, so we might be in luck. [If you could call that luck.]
I mean it's sort of lucky since we only have to focus on one objective instead of the possibility of them doing a bunch of stuff to us. Don't you think that's easier?
I'm not going to let anyone die again. [It's said sharply and without thinking and he stops pacing, biting down on his lip.] That's why it's good we can just focus on one thing. Higher chance of stopping them and finding an answer.
You can start helping when you don't have to anchor yourself to the door to keep yourself from falling...[So yes, he's a.) bypassing that subject and b.) absolutely not going to let anything happen to her.] And you can also help by being a safe base until we get this under control. Trust me, that's helping way more than you think.
...[Curious.] Do your powers work even when you're sick? I know some people are affected when their health isn't up to par. We don't know it won't work until we try...and if that doesn't work then we're really in trouble and okay, maybe we shouldn't do that.
Just be prepared in case anybody comes through that wall. [He pouts.] I wish I knew where Baymax was, I'd have him scan you again just in case. He's still out there somewhere though.
Yeah. A couple of days ago we were trying to outrace some of the ghosts so they couldn't catch us and we split up to lose them, but since then I haven't been able to get in touch with him. I think all of the spirit energy or whatever's messing with his system.
I'm not just going to leave you here. [For that reason, mostly.] And I've been trying to find him for days. Tadashi had tracked him down but he was already on the move by the time we figured out how to get back to him.
I've got a couple of other people who know he's missing. I hope somebody can at least direct him back to me. [He shakes his head.] Are Xion and Roxas getting any worse, too?

Is that really lucky?

I really don't want anyone to get killed. I'd rather go blind permanently than have that happen. So just thinking about it is...

Mary blinks at him for that answer, but she knows better than to ask. Now's not the time. ]
So I should be helping, too...
[ Mary, you look pretty dead. ]

But... if Tadashi's helping, hopefully that means you'll be able to get him back. Or maybe everyone can look for him.
