At least the nightmares stopped. And you sound a lot better. Looks like things are going back to normal. [A beat.] I'm fine, Takeru. The ghosts are nothing and they're behind the seal now. I'm not worried.

[Which isn't necessarily true, but why tell him that?]

Then that's good! We don't have to see those mean old ghosts anymore! But I hope that they'll be happy in the end. I know Minato-san told me that they were just really sad people and they hurt others because they don't know.

[Pause]

But if it’s sealed, I wonder what’s going to happen afterwards.

Somebody else told me the same thing. Think they're right? It's not really an excuse but it kinda makes you feel a little bad for them doesn't it? [That's a good question though.] This isn't the first time they've been here, apparently. So I guess we have to wait and see if the seal holds up this time.

[Whoa, hold up there!]

Wait, it isn't? No one told me that! That's just not fair, I don't want to be the last one to find out!

[Not again!!] But that’s just it right? They’re officially sealed up for good and...there’s nothing else we need to do right?

Uh huh. A couple of my friends told me that the last time the ghosts were in the colony they were messing with everybody's senses. Some people went blind, and some people had their bodies taken from them. That was a couple of months before either of us were here. If the seal really works? There's nothing else we need to do, no. And with the people who helped with the seal it should be solid for a really, really long time.

There's still a lot of stuff we probably don't know either. Trust me, you're not the last to find out.

[And then there was dead silence for a few seconds. During that time, he simply looked at Patamon before taking a few glances back at the device. He doesn't want to admit it but...]

That sounds a lot scarier than anything I faced in the Digital World. I really don't want my b-body taken away and have them do whatever they want to me! Let's just hope it stays that way for good!

T-Then maybe if we can figure out how Patamon can evolve into Angemon? Maybe we can help out with a bunch of stuff?

From what I heard they were just taking bodies and running away with them. [That's not any better, but still.] It should stay that way for a really long time at least.

I think that sounds like a good idea though. You said you wanted to try to get him to evolve in ViViD right? When do you wanna go?

Then that's good. At least we don't have to see those scary ghosts for a good long while!

[And here Takeru may or may not have given a small huff sound in the background!]

Well...I guess whenever I'm not grounded anymore? But hopefully that should be really soon?

Let's try not to dwell on them too much, huh? [He blinks at the Cerevice then, and when he speaks again there's a hint of amusement.]

[Here Hiro, have a rreeeeaaalllllllyyyyyy long pause on his end! Because it's totally not funny to be grounded!]

You know who Leia-san and Han-san are right? Well, remember when I got really sick and there were a bunch of ghosts around?

...I was really worried if my friends were okay so I went out without telling them.

You can get grounded for that? [He sounds genuinely surprised by this, but that's because Hiro's used to sneaking out and Tadashi just complaining at him. Nobody's ever really grounded him.] I mean maybe you shouldn't have gone out when you were sick but...harsh. How long are you grounded?

Well, why wouldn't you? I did something really bad and I made both of them mad so why wouldn't I get grounded?

[Although, this was his 7 year old self talking here.]

But that's what I want to know! Hopefully it shouldn't be too long because it's getting kind of boring being stuck inside all the time!

I dunno. If you apologized and said you weren't gonna do it again you probably could have gotten around it. [Probably. Maybe. Don't listen to him, Takeru, be a good kid. Don't be a Hiro.] You didn't ask how long your punishment was for?

I did though but I don't think it's that easy? But it sure would be nice if it was, it would make time go by a lot faster! And that I would have to keep looking at the dictionary all the time too!

[Yes, that's pretty much his only answer before he started giggling]

Well, if you must know! I know I put your name on it! You're a character in the story that's filled with fantasy, dragons, and people jumping off of windows too!

That's way faster. And easier. [He's not sure how to react to that other than a short laugh.] A fantasy story, huh? This wouldn't have something to do with everything that happened in the library would it?
