Not as bad as what you may be thinking. Even countries in peacetime have their elite units for high-risk tasks, don't they?

[Shrugs. What he's getting at here is that (it should sound like) it was not much different from an organization of SWAT teams or the Japanese SDF or something. That's not too far off the mark either, since JP's did have considerable influence with the SDF, outright using them to be their frontliners at times.]

I guess I never really thought about it before since things are usually pretty safe back home. Well. Safe-ish. And we're in charge of protecting our city and keeping the peace but I wouldn't call that soldiering or anything.

Still...kinda makes you wonder what would happen if the same sort of troops formally formed here. Think it's possible?
