Has he actually been to space? [That's pretty cool. He likes space. But he makes a face in response.] And how come I've never heard of this space agency then?

From what I know, they haven't implemented the A.I. companions yet, but they'll be doing it soon. I'm pretty sure Clonco was supposed to go to space a few days after my last trial.

[ she starts poking her earring. was it clonco, or ponco? no matter... ]

Maybe we don't live in the same universe. I mean, it'd be cool if you di— wait. Are you from Los Angeles, too?

[He mulls over that, muttering to himself about what a robot would need to sustain the pressures space would put on it before he winds up shaking his head. Athena's question seems more important.]

No, that's like five hours south of where we're from. We live in San Fransokyo. I didn't know you were based in LA though.

[ she arches an eyebrow, rather confused. ]

San... Fransokyo? I'm pretty sure it's called San Francisco.

[zerotohiro]

No...I live there and it's called San Fransokyo. [There's a pause.] I mean it used to be called San Francisco before the giant earthquake over a century ago that knocked out a huge chunk of the city. When they rebuilt everything they named it San Fransokyo.

[ eugh... earthquakes. ]

Yeah, we get those a lot, huh.

Why did they rename it?

[zerotohiro]

According to all of the history texts when the big earthquake happened in 1904 they recruited a ton of Japanese immigrants to help them rebuild. Because of that, they decided they were renaming the city San Fransokyo because of the influx of the population. Tadashi and I have never known it as San Francisco, but a lot of people here have never heard of San Fransokyo either.

That's so strange, but cool at the same time.

I wonder if they'll ever rename Los Angeles. [ a beat. ] Los Angelesokyo...!

[ no. ]

If they renamed LA anything it'd probably be Los Angesaka or something. [Shrug.] Is it really that strange when everything else about our worlds seems to kinda sync up?

[psycholawgy]

Not really!

You think we're from the same world? Maybe you're even from my past, like Iris or Ema!

That depends. You guys from the same time as Phoenix?

[psycholawgy]

You know my boss?! [ hiro knows so many people!! ]

But, yes! I am. It's the year 2027 when I'm from.

I met him a little while ago. Pretty nice guy. Baymax seemed to like him, too. [While he's on the floor he's finally reaching into the pocket of his shorts to take out his CereVice and open the notes application to start documenting some things about Clonco.] We're five years ahead of you guys. It doesn't sound like a lot but a lot can change in five years. Could be the difference between Clonco and Baymax.

[psycholawgy]

[ clonco notices that and just smiles at hiro, saying nothing else. if he isn't talked to, then he usually doesn't speak. or else he'll get blasted by mama aura's gun. ]

You think we're from the same world? [ she laughs softly, but the question is pretty serious! ]

[zerotohiro]

[It's strange to him, considering how much Baymax likes to talk on his own and interact with the world. He waves a hand in front of Clonco's face to test his reflexes even when he grins at Athena's question.]

A mirror, at least. I think Dipper and I are from very similar worlds, too. I wonder if the history lines up and everything. Do you really think it's that impossible?

[psycholawgy]

[ clonco's eyes follow hiro's hand, and he waves one of his own. ]

What are you writing down?

Not impossible, [ she says after clonco finishes talking. hiro's smart. he can juggle two conversations at the same time. ] It would be neat if I could visit you if I did go to San Fran- whatever it is.

[zerotohiro]

[He laughs slightly and even takes time to address the robot, showing his notes to Clonco. It's a list of statistics (size, mobility, etc) and an accurate sketch of him.]

Just some stats, dude. We're gonna see what we can do to upgrade you a bit.

[Working is second nature. He can write notes while talking without issue and he shrugs again.] ...you'd love San Fransokyo. I could even show you some videos of the place if you want. Baymax has them stored in his memory.

I'd love to see it!

[ ah, but wait- ]

Did you say upgrade? What are you planning?

[zerotohiro]

Just an expansion of his memory mostly so he can learn more. How do you think Baymax keeps picking up new skills? We could probably write a new skillset for him, too, if you want. He's not in bad shape, but everybody can be a little better if they want to be.

[As for showing her San Fransokyo...well, this might seem out of context for Athena.] Ow. [The little light on the front of the suitcase lights up and Baymax expands from his carrier, gently stepping out and waddling away from it.]

[ wait wait wait DID BAYMAX JUST COME OUT OF THAT SUITCASE??? ]

H- Hey! I wanna say "ow"!

[ screw what they were talking about, man. THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT. ]

Wh--you can't just say ow! He's my robot. [Athena what even.] Didn't you know this is how he's activated?

[ wow!!! she puffs her cheeks and crosses her arms indignantly. ]

No! You never tell me anything!

[zerotohiro]

[!?!?] I do too! I tell you a lot of stuff! [Mimicking that stance! They are such children jfc.]

Well, I wanna try switching Baymax on next time!

Or off, whichever!

Fine, fine! You can shut him off later. Now do you wanna see what I was going to show you or not?
