[She leans forward, folding her arms across her lap. She's not exactly comfortable filling this kid in about the reality of being a hero, but if he's going to date a Huntress and wants to be strong enough to help her, these are things that need to be known.]

Look, I'm not here to scare you. If you and Ruby care about each other so much, then that's great. [She feels better knowing that he feels this way, even if his logic needs adjusting.] I just want you to be able to put everything into perspective. You seem like a smart guy, but that doesn't mean a thing if you're not thinking clearly.

You don't scare me. [Other than the part where Weiss is sort of terrifying, too. Why is everybody on team RWBY except for Ruby sometimes terrifying?] Why can't she count as part of everyone? What about this isn't clear thinking? I know what I want to do and how I'm going to do it.

Something has happened and you need to make a choice. A radical group has rigged an airship full of people to explode. During the struggle, your teammate-- Ruby, falls. If you go to save her, you will not have enough time to disarm the bomb.

Wrong. [He fixes her with a fairly level stare.] I'm smart enough to figure out how to disable a bomb, Ruby would use her semblance to catch the wind and slow her fall and then me and Baymax would catch her before she hits the ground. Problem solved.

[...he's fourteen, what do you want from him.]

[She sighs, taking her forehead into her hand. You have a lot of growing up to do.]

Just... make sure you're coordinated with your full team before doing anything dangerous, okay?

Hey, at least I'm not going to almost get killed by a death stalker because I was busy arguing with my partner. [Surprise, Ruby told him about that, too.] ...I have a full team back home. I already know what happens when you aren't coordinated.

Hey, that was our first time-- [She catches herself, clearing her throat.]

I'll have to speak to Ruby about gossiping about her team.

[There's a nervous laugh under his breath.] I wouldn't call it gossiping...we were comparing notes. It's okay, Weiss, she still thinks you're incredible. [Who knows if he's being serious or just trying to win points.] I think she's missed you a lot and just hasn't really said so.

[Don't think there's any love lost between these partners.]

She just has a tendency to leave her mouth running when her brain is off.

Her brain's not off that often. [...he can't deny that Ruby sometimes has motormouth syndrome, but then again he does, too.]

I know you just want her to be safe. I'll find a way to make sure that happens. Okay?

[She sighs. Maybe she wasn't clear enough. What she wanted to tell him was that it wasn't just to protect Ruby, but to make sure you're not a burden on her. It's not worth it to drag this conversation out longer, or scold him for not getting the message. Maybe its better just to look out for them both and see what happens.]

...You said they unlocked your aura. Have you found your Semblance yet?

[But that's the thing. "I'll find a way." He knows that he might be a burden on her in the future if he doesn't shape up, and it's eating at him slowly. Just a little. A bit like an itch to be scratched but the more he picks the more he'll open wounds and not remember how to close them off.

And so it's better not to talk about it. He doesn't talk about a lot of things like that. As far as he's concerned it's best for Weiss to think he's stupid and missing the topic than to flat-out agree with her. Smart and stubborn.

The question is one of interest though and he softly shakes his head.]

No. I have no idea what it might be or even if I'll ever really have one. I know yours is your glyphs and the dust...and Blake can make copies of herself more or less. Yang has her hair and strength thing and Ruby's speed. I'm pretty sure mine wouldn't be anything like that.

You'll never know until you bring it out. Your Semblance, like your Aura, is a piece of your soul. It's your very being manifesting itself.

It's impossible to predict what it will be, but it's going to compliment you perfectly, whatever it is.

Also Dust is not exclusive to my Semblance. It can be used to enhance any Semblance.

Yang explained it to me a while ago when she first started training me. It's partially based on your nature and partially based on what you need. And Ruby said you can use it when your Aura's really strong. I got all of that. It's just a matter of letting it grow.

[He can think of all kinds of neat things it could be, but time will tell.]

...they didn't really tell me about Dust though. Just some basic facts. [That is to say, Weiss, please share.]

That's a good way to describe it, yes, but since you require a more in-depth knowledge of Dust, we'll have to include it as part of your lesson plan.

[If he's going to be fighting alongside her partner, he's going to be as strong as he can be.]

Tomorrow, I want you to send me your availability during the week for the foreseeable future. We're going to work on training your Aura and bringing out your Semblance.

Whoa whoa whoa. Lesson plan? [He sits up suddenly, giving Weiss a bewildered sort of look.] Are you even going to have time for that? You probably have a lot to catch up on.

If you're going to be dating my partner, you're going to know how to use your Aura. I can take a few hours out of my week to make sure of that.

[He doesn't say anything for a moment, narrowing his eyes like he's trying to decide if she's tricking him or not before he nods and digs a hand into the pocket of his shorts. Give him a moment, he's pulling up their text conversation and sending Weiss a small list of times he has available. They may seem random, an hour here, an hour there, some early in the morning, some late at night, but there's time all seven days of the week.]

...shouldn't I be asking Yang about this first? [Maybe? Since she unlocked his Aura. He doesn't really know if she should be the one doing this because of that. (No, Hiro, the laws of vampires don't apply here...)]

Why would she care? Train your body with her, train your Aura with me.

[It's like having separate teachers for Biology and Chemistry. They may require some similar basic skills, but they're vastly different sciences.]

Fine, fine. [Sigh.] You obviously know how to find me, pick a time that works for you and we'll begin Aura 101. [Because as much as he's unsure about it, he'd really like to learn how to use the thing.]

That sounds very reluctant for someone who wants to get stronger for the sake of the people.

I'll go over these times and see what works best for me. You just work on being more excited about the opportunity I've presented you with.

[She stands up from the bench, taking a moment to stretch out her lower-back. Man, she's been sitting there for a while.]

[He doesn't move to follow her. He has a lot to ponder over suddenly.]
