I figured it out. I don't know if Yu knows that I know.

We should probably keep an eye on him...I know he's healing and everything's getting better but that's just the physical part, you know? But I know he won't tell me the truth if I really ask. So what then?

He probably thinks you would have figured it out.

[Hiro and Dipper were exceptionally bright kids after all, and the four of them had stuck close to each other during that time.

Or maybe he just knows Yu better than most people do.]

Yu-san's not the type to share much about himself unless he thinks someone needs to hear it, but I think it depends on how you ask him about it too. He thanked me for talking to him when we spoke at the hospital before this, and you'll need to be honest about how you feel about him and what he did.

Yeah, I know. Yu and I have had a lot of really heavy talks in the past. [About life, death, Minato, Tadashi, Nanako...there's a lot to weigh on his mind here.]

I can be tactful in my approach if that's what you're trying to tell me. I'm usually pretty honest with him but I don't want to push him further in the wrong direction either. If that makes sense.

Being tactful is good. It's better that you visit him too, so that you can see how he's reacting what you're saying.

[There's a chance Yu would simply try to say what he thinks Hiro wants to say otherwise- as open as he usually is, no one could walk away blaming themselves for a death and still be upfront about it at once.]

I know he was probably just putting up a front when we spoke yesterday because of some stuff that happened out there but I'll try to check in on him again soon. Don't let him out of your sight, Minato. I mean it.

He's going to need all of us right now.
